Team Summary

Varun Alagh - Post XLRI (2005-07), Varun has spent 10 years in the FMCG space across HUL, Diageo & Coca-Cola. He has managed large sales teams at Unilever distributing personal care, home care & F&B across traditional and modern retail. In marketing he has a varied experience from developing Rexona deo lotions in tubes for Philippines, launching Coca-Cola Zero in India to building occasions for Coca-Cola across India, Bangladesh, Nepal & Sri Lanka. During his corporate stint he has won multiple awards for performance across organizations. He looks after Marketing, sales, strategy and company affairs.

Ghazal Alagh : Post her BCA, Ghazal has worked with NIIT in mobile technologies as a developer and later as a trainer. She has experience in her own startup called Dietexpert.in which was a fitness website targeted at providing customized diet plans to consumers. She is a professional artist with multiple exhibitions around the world. She looks after tech, design and communities.

We are Honasa Consumer Pvt Ltd which comes from Honest, Natural and Safe. We aspire to provide safe, toxin free, international standard products across categories starting with baby care in India. We will be the master of Niches and provide long tail of products which help solve small problems of parents which bigger giants would not find enough meat in. Our first brand Mamaearth targeted at babies, kids & mums will in first 2 years will enter categories like baby skin care & cleansing, personal hygiene, plastics, pre & post-natal personal care for moms which in itself is more than 2 Bn USD market growing at 18% CAGR. We plan to launch another brand in the nutrition snacking and supplement space as well. We plan to be a 100 Crore topline company with 35% plus Gross profit levels by end of 5 years. Our 10 year plan is to become a 1 Bn USD listed company in India.
