We’re looking for a highly creative, enthusiastic, borderline insane individual who has experience growing awareness for a consumer brand using owned marketing channels. In a category where consumers have little emotional connection to products and services they use to search and buy products, The Dorm Shop is trying to buck the trend developing a cult-like following and strong consumer affinity. This role will create evangelists from our passionate customer base and develop new and innovative programs to reach new audiences. The Dorm Shop's owned marketing channels including but not limited to existing social channels as as well as identifying new growth channels. Key functions of this role include:
1) developing a deep understanding of why customers should love us and their behavioral characteristics
2) using consumer insights to develop and execute campaigns and programs to expand reach and improve engagement
3) analyzing performance to understand how programs are driving Organic growth.
This is a highly innovative role that draws inspiration by working with many other key areas of the business including Product Management, Content Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Service. It requires strong communication skills and “growth hacker” instincts. Worked with analytical
0-5 years experience in a similar consumer marketing role including: social media, content marketing, community management, or brand marketing Campaign development, content creation, and calendar management
Excellent writing and communication skills including copywriting and copy editing
Ability to analyze and communicate impact of campaigns, programs and initiatives High level of competence in social reach and engagement monitoring tools
Experience managing direct reports
Photoshop or knowledge of other similar editing tools a strong plus
