Team Summary

Founding team of 3 people and 1 part-time.
Co-founders:
Ameya Deshpande - Previously an investment banker with Deutsche Bank, Religare and BNP Paribas. Before Authenticook, joined an adventure sports business based out of Pune and was to expand the business in newer markets and segments. Unfortunately, there was a gap in the vision of the original partners and Ameya. Had an amicable split from the business and started Authenticook shortly after with Aneesh and Priyanka. Received his PGDM from Welingkar Institute, Mumbai.
Aneesh Dhairyawan - Previously a human capital strategy consultant with Deloitte India. Aneesh and Ameya know each other for the past 20+ years; having crossed paths during their club cricket playing days and eventually while doing his PGDM from Welingkar Institute, Mumbai.
Priyanka Deshpande - Previously a corporate banker with ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank. Priyanka and Ameya are married. Received her MMS from N.L. Dalmia Institute, Mumbai.

Product/Service Summary

Authenticook provides authentic meal experiences at the homes of home-chefs, whether one wants to dine with locals in their own city or at places they are travelling to. We do all this through an online platform which brings hosts and diners together. We want to build on the category of home-dining in India where people can experience the real local culture through an authentic home-made meal at a local's home.

How are we different?

We are providing an avenue for people across cultures to come together over food. The kind of food that is predominantly available on our platform can only be found in peoples' homes. The vision of Authenticook is to bring to the forefront the cultural diversity of India through the one common thread that binds us all i.e. our love for food. The Indian food industry is poised for huge growth. India is also one of the fastest growing travel economies (local and foreign travellers). Combining these two trends, we see huge potential for Authenticook. Along with that, we are living in the era of sharing economy. We believe that the time for a concept like this is now. Everyone is looking for differentiated experiences and we are providing an avenue for that.
