Flickstree is a tech entertainment company, disrupting content discovery. We curate great content from around the world and personalize it for better user experience.

With Video On Demand (VOD) streaming services rapidly becoming the preferred medium for viewing content online, consumers are being overwhelmed with choice of entertainment as well as which subscription services to use. This means they are spending a significant amount of time simply trying to find what to watch. It is also becoming increasingly difficult to find where to watch the preferred content once discovered or identified.

Individual VOD services (e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hooq) all provide a wide variety of content. The issue is that their recommendation platform is isolated to their own source and does not take into account the user’s holistic viewing habits. Users have to struggle to find content that is as per their taste and preference from one platform to other. End result- lot of time wasted in searching for “what to watch” and “where to watch”

When machines are taking over and solving all worldly problems, there is no website or app that uses world-class machine learning to understand user behavior and tastes holistically by curating all content available across the web intelligently. Flickstree is the solution to all these problems.

We have started our journey with English and Hindi movies for now. Plan is to add multiple other genres of content as we move ahead starting with Short films, documentaries, regional movies, world cinema, TV shows and then digital videos. Flickstree is a full ecosystem comprising of context engine, social discovery, influencer views & movie stats.

VoD market is a $38Bn dollar opportunity currently globally. In India itself there are 32 Mn users who subscribe to any one of the services available and the opportunity is worth $200Mn in India alone. We also plan to earn revenue through digital advertising on our platform. We will be in a position to create a large pool of targeted audience for content and movie players to advertise on the basis of content preference of users. No such platform exists today in India that can increase the advertising effectiveness for content players.
