India significantly lags behind in credit penetration – 97% vs. 447% in UK. With several govt. initiatives – Make in India, Ease of doing business, etc. --- and a rapidly growing middle class, credit demand is bound to increase. Our financial institutions need to tranform themselves if they have to cater this demand – and the secret sauce is digital --- be it in sales, operations, risk-based pricing, using surrogate data to assess credit risk of the informal sector. Loktra aspires to be at the forefront of this digital revolution --- we are starting with sales --- intelligent mobile assistant for field workforce --- this helps reduce TAT, increase productivity, reduce operational cost – more importantly organize the all-important customer data which can then be used for bigger and better things.
