Alex graduated from Brown University. After working 3 years in project management in San Francisco, he decided to follow his passion for travel, first to Asia, then to Europe, realizing the need for a mobile-accessible, peer-generated travel information sharing platform. He has since recruited two talented mobile developers, Sam and Matt.
Savvi is the next Lonely Planet - only this time it's a living community, generating mobile, location-based, peer-to-peer, real-time travel information and exciting a world where the barriers to travel are non-existent, helping anyone travel savvi. The paid-for, physical, print travel guide is finished!
How are we different?
Savvi is the first of its kind. It is the first travel information platform that takes peer-generated information seriously and makes it easily accessible for a community of well-connected travelers. Savvi's adoption strategy will rely on partnering with "Savvi Ambassadors," recruited strategically, who will work to increase local brand awareness.
Product Demo, Savvi v1
Savvi v1 was completed in March 2016. It has recently been removed from sale in the App Store as our team works on Savvi v2, to be launched in the Fall in time for "high season" of travel in Asia.
