Our founding team has 30+ years of management experience. We've been working together for 3 years and sold our previous startup, Bizkoot in Dec 2014 before starting Unnati in early 2015.

Eral Ravi (COO):

Unnati is a tech-enabled employment exchange for informal sector workers in India (90% of India's workforce). Unnati is powered by a "referral network" of thousands of workers who refer suitable candidates for nearby job openings. We use our referral network to help employers find and hire the workers they need for their business or household.

How are we different?

Unnati uses a referral network of workers to find suitable candidates for informal sector jobs (versus online database model used by Babajob, Saral Rozgar, Quikr Jobs, Naukri, etc.). The referral network is better suited to the needs of the informal sector (e.g. hyperlocal job search, job alerts in local language voice, logistics support, etc.).
