Spotlight on Series A: LetsVenture expands operations to Family Offices and Corporates. Farooq Oomerbhoy joins as Partner(Consultant) to lead initiative.
Bangalore, June 22nd 2017: Having proven that an online early stage angel investing model is relevant to the Indian ecosystem with 105 startups raising 42m USD in the last 4 years, LetsVenture now looks to disrupt the sub 5m venture investing.LetsVenture will now enable Pre-Series A and Series A/B deals. With this goal, LetsVenture will focus on bringing family offices and corporates on a private, curated and interpersonal platform, under the LetsVenture brand, which will allow them to co-invest with VC’s and funds leading Series A/B deals while also sourcing and managing quality deal flow directly for family offices and corporates.LetsVenture is excited to bring on board Farooq Oomerbhoy as a Partner(Consultant) to lead this initiative.
"Family Offices & Corporates have lacked a guided access to the venture asset class in the Indian ecosystem. Unlike the West where there has been a process of evolution for these category of investors, India is still at a nascent stage. We look to become the GO TO platform for all venture investments for these category of Investors, handholding them through the entire process, pre, during and post investment" said Farooq, Partner (consultant) at LetsVenture.
“We’re excited to bring Farooq who comes with deep expertise in the startup ecosystem space, having been an active lead investor and fund manager. This will be a very strategic initiative for us as we look to expand into Series A/B fund raise for startups on the platform and scale to new geographies” said Shanti Mohan, Co-Founder & CEO, LetsVenture.
