In the first episode of LV Soundbytes - Season 2, we sit down with Mr. Subrata Mitra, Partner at Accel Partners to talk about investment and fund thesis. Subrata is an entrepreneur turned VC, and joined Accel when Erasmic Venture Fund (a firm that he co-founded) rebranded to become part of Accel.

- How can the new pool of Investors build their own thesis, allocate bandwidth and replicate the process of a VC?
- What opportunities and outcomes the Indian market can create in the next 5-10 years?

Prior to Erasmic, Subrata was the managing director of India operations for Tavant Technologies, Inc. A U.S.-based mortgage solutions company acquired Tavant in 2004. Previously, Subrata had founded Firewhite, Inc. Ubiquio, Inc. acquired the company and later merged into Mobile Planet.
Subrata studied Computer Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur. Subsequently, he received his M.S. from UDel, and Ph.D. from Urbana.
